# Funko vs Back to the Future™

The clearest difference is rating: Back to the Future™ at 3.6 against Funko's 2.7. Back to the Future™ also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Funko's advantage is ratings volume (576 vs 14). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Back to the Future™ holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Funko has 576 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Funko's written reviews are positive against 11% of Back to the Future™'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Funko ships an update monthly, Back to the Future™ every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
