# Digital Clock vs Compass

Digital Clock and Compass both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 67% of Digital Clock's written reviews are positive against 29% of Compass's. Digital Clock also leads on ratings volume (69K vs 39) and device support (4 vs 2). Compass's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Clock sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Compass sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Digital Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Clock has 69K ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Digital Clock's written reviews are positive against 29% of Compass's.

Digital Clock ships an update fortnightly, Compass every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
