# DISCS vs Space Telescope App

The clearest difference is rating: Space Telescope App at 4.1 against DISCS's 2.0. Space Telescope App also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (31 vs 3). DISCS's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Space Telescope App sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. DISCS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Space Telescope App holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Space Telescope App has 31 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of DISCS's written reviews are positive against 40% of Space Telescope App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DISCS ships an update every 2 months, Space Telescope App every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
