# SimpleEdit vs True Velocity

The clearest difference is update cadence: True Velocity at weekly against SimpleEdit's every 3 weeks. True Velocity also leads on iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimpleEdit sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and True Velocity sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SimpleEdit ships an update every 3 weeks, True Velocity weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
