# HotStepper vs Serafim Console

The clearest difference is rating: Serafim Console at 5.0 against HotStepper's 4.1. HotStepper's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 4 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Serafim Console sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year. HotStepper asks for nothing beyond the download.
