# Future Pro vs SHRED

The clearest difference is monetization model: SHRED at free against Future Pro's subscription. SHRED also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Future Pro's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Future Pro against 5.0 for SHRED. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Future Pro has 11K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of Future Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of SHRED's.

Future Pro ships an update every 2 weeks, SHRED every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
