# Future Pro vs xiao

The clearest difference is monetization model: xiao at free against Future Pro's subscription. xiao also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Future Pro's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 1) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Future Pro against 5.0 for xiao. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Future Pro has 11K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Future Pro ships an update every 10 days, xiao monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
