# Microsoft Edge vs ERIS Mobile

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ERIS Mobile at 100% against Microsoft Edge's 58%. ERIS Mobile also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4). Microsoft Edge's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft Edge sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. ERIS Mobile asks for nothing beyond the download.

Microsoft Edge holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Edge has 597K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Microsoft Edge's written reviews are positive against 100% of ERIS Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Microsoft Edge ships an update weekly, ERIS Mobile every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
