# Microsoft Edge vs XYZ AM

The clearest difference is update cadence: Microsoft Edge at weekly against XYZ AM's every 2 months. Microsoft Edge also leads on ratings volume (593K vs 1) and chart position (#6 vs unranked). XYZ AM's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Microsoft Edge sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and XYZ AM sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $69.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

XYZ AM holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Edge has 593K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Microsoft Edge ships an update weekly, XYZ AM every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
