# RapL vs Fireflies

The clearest difference is review sentiment: RapL at 94% against Fireflies's 54%. Fireflies's advantage is ratings volume (5.4K vs 79) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fireflies holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fireflies has 5.4K ratings behind it against 79, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of RapL's written reviews are positive against 54% of Fireflies's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RapL ships an update every 2 weeks, Fireflies every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
