# MonChats vs ParPar

The clearest difference is rating: ParPar at 4.5 against MonChats's 2.3. ParPar also leads on ratings volume (96 vs 6). MonChats's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MonChats sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $26.99 per month and ParPar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $23.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ParPar holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ParPar has 96 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of MonChats's written reviews are positive against 44% of ParPar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MonChats ships an update every 11 days, ParPar every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
