# Emrals vs Gener8

The clearest difference is rating: Gener8 at 4.7 against Emrals's 4.2. Gener8 also leads on ratings volume (4.9K vs 5). Emrals's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (67% vs 41%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Gener8 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gener8 has 4.9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Emrals's written reviews are positive against 41% of Gener8's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Emrals ships an update weekly, Gener8 every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
