# Kojak's vs Casey's

The clearest difference is update cadence: Casey's at every 2 weeks against Kojak's's every 6 months. Casey's also leads on ratings volume (432K vs 6) and chart position (#70 vs unranked). Kojak's's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Kojak's against 4.8 for Casey's. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Casey's has 432K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of Kojak's's written reviews are positive against 51% of Casey's's.

Kojak's ships an update every 6 months, Casey's every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
