# WaveFolder vs Iconica Sketch

The clearest difference is price: WaveFolder at $4.99 against Iconica Sketch's $26.99. WaveFolder also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 63%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.2). Iconica Sketch's advantage is ratings volume (163 vs 9). On rating, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

WaveFolder costs $4.99 and Iconica Sketch $26.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Iconica Sketch holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Iconica Sketch has 163 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of WaveFolder's written reviews are positive against 63% of Iconica Sketch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WaveFolder ships an update every 3 months, Iconica Sketch every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
