# Protanopia vs TCCL SRP

The clearest difference is rating: Protanopia at 4.8 against TCCL SRP's 4.0. Protanopia also leads on ratings volume (323 vs 3) and update cadence (every 5 months vs every 11 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Protanopia holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Protanopia has 323 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 97% of Protanopia's written reviews are positive against 100% of TCCL SRP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Protanopia ships an update every 5 months, TCCL SRP every 11 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
