# monday.com vs Smiles View

The clearest difference is monetization model: Smiles View at free against monday.com's free with in-app purchases. Smiles View also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 48%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). monday.com's advantage is ratings volume (48K vs 10) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for monday.com against 4.7 for Smiles View. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: monday.com has 48K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 48% of monday.com's written reviews are positive against 67% of Smiles View's.

monday.com ships an update weekly, Smiles View every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
