# Pixel Speech vs Momo & Pals

The clearest difference is rating: Momo & Pals at 4.8 against Pixel Speech's 1.0. Momo & Pals also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 50 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pixel Speech sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Momo & Pals asks for nothing beyond the download.

Momo & Pals holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Momo & Pals has 473 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Pixel Speech's written reviews are positive against 98% of Momo & Pals's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pixel Speech ships an update every 50 months, Momo & Pals every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
