# GPS Tools® vs OasisPlus

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OasisPlus at none against GPS Tools®'s 10. OasisPlus also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (13.2 vs 15.1). GPS Tools®'s advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (339 vs 5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS Tools® sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 6 months. OasisPlus asks for nothing beyond the download.

OasisPlus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPS Tools® has 339 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GPS Tools® ships an update every 3 weeks, OasisPlus every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
