# Superlocal vs ImproveScape

Superlocal and ImproveScape both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of ImproveScape's written reviews are positive against 24% of Superlocal's. Superlocal's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Superlocal sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and ImproveScape sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for Superlocal against 4.3 for ImproveScape. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Superlocal has 3.1K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 24% of Superlocal's written reviews are positive against 80% of ImproveScape's.

Superlocal ships an update every 6 days, ImproveScape every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
