# Superlocal vs Badger

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Badger at 100% against Superlocal's 24%. Badger also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2). Superlocal's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Superlocal sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and Badger sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $50.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Badger holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Superlocal has 3.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 24% of Superlocal's written reviews are positive against 100% of Badger's.

Superlocal ships an update every 6 days, Badger every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
