# Unsplash vs Saveit Pics

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Unsplash at none against Saveit Pics's 1. Unsplash also leads on ratings volume (13K vs 1). Saveit Pics's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Saveit Pics sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Unsplash asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Unsplash against 5.0 for Saveit Pics. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Unsplash has 13K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 75% of Unsplash's written reviews are positive against 100% of Saveit Pics's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
