# Chrono vs MPP

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chrono at none against MPP's 1. Chrono also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). MPP's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 2). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MPP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Chrono asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chrono holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MPP has 1.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 96% of Chrono's written reviews are positive against 84% of MPP's.

Chrono ships an update every 7 months, MPP every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
