# steelyard vs Auto RC

The clearest difference is ratings volume: steelyard at 297 against Auto RC's 6. steelyard also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5). Auto RC's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 56%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. steelyard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Auto RC sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

steelyard holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: steelyard has 297 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of steelyard's written reviews are positive against 75% of Auto RC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

steelyard ships an update every 2 months, Auto RC every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
