# steelyard vs Hibika

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hibika at every 2 days against steelyard's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. steelyard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Hibika sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

steelyard ships an update every 2 months, Hibika every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
