# FotoDa vs Smart Resize

The clearest difference is update cadence: Smart Resize at every 4 weeks against FotoDa's every 8 months. FotoDa's advantage is ratings volume (139 vs 22) and review sentiment (59% vs 50%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FotoDa sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Smart Resize sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FotoDa holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FotoDa has 139 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 59% of FotoDa's written reviews are positive against 50% of Smart Resize's.

FotoDa ships an update every 8 months, Smart Resize every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
