# Tormento vs Noveltime

The clearest difference is ads: Tormento at none against Noveltime's shown. Tormento also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (67% vs 50%). Noveltime's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tormento sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Noveltime sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Noveltime holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 166 and 217 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Tormento's written reviews are positive against 50% of Noveltime's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tormento ships an update daily, Noveltime every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
