# GPS Speedometer vs SuperVPN

The clearest difference is ads: SuperVPN at none against GPS Speedometer's shown. SuperVPN also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). GPS Speedometer's advantage is review sentiment (66% vs 53%) and ratings volume (4.2K vs 727). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GPS Speedometer sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and SuperVPN sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SuperVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GPS Speedometer has 4.2K ratings behind it against 727, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of GPS Speedometer's written reviews are positive against 53% of SuperVPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GPS Speedometer ships an update every 2 months, SuperVPN every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
