# Dune! vs Split

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Split at 100% against Dune!'s 28%. Split also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Dune!'s advantage is ratings volume (545K vs 7). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dune! sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Split asks for nothing beyond the download.

Split holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dune! has 545K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 28% of Dune!'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Split's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
