# Toggl Track (Legacy) vs VidyoEngage

The clearest difference is monetization model: Toggl Track (Legacy) at free against VidyoEngage's subscription. Toggl Track (Legacy) also leads on ratings volume (9.6K vs 4) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). VidyoEngage's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VidyoEngage holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Toggl Track (Legacy) has 9.6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Toggl Track (Legacy) ships an update fortnightly, VidyoEngage every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
