# BrewDog vs MiXR.

The clearest difference is rating: BrewDog at 1.4 against MiXR.'s 1.0. BrewDog also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 4) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 16.0). MiXR.'s advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (16% vs 5%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BrewDog holds the better App Store score, 1.4 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 5% of BrewDog's written reviews are positive against 16% of MiXR.'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BrewDog ships an update every 2 months, MiXR. every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
