# 超SOS vs ALTER EGO

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 超SOS at none against ALTER EGO's 7. 超SOS also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). ALTER EGO's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (14K vs 6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ALTER EGO sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. 超SOS asks for nothing beyond the download.

ALTER EGO holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ALTER EGO has 14K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.
