# CloudVeil Messenger vs Hex Media

The clearest difference is rating: Hex Media at 5.0 against CloudVeil Messenger's 3.4. CloudVeil Messenger's advantage is ratings volume (169 vs 5) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
