# Latch Manager vs Alert

The clearest difference is rating: Alert at 4.3 against Latch Manager's 3.6. Latch Manager's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (17% vs 0%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alert holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 29 and 15 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Latch Manager's written reviews are positive against 0% of Alert's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Latch Manager ships an update every 2 weeks, Alert every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
