# DMV Driving Test Driver Start vs Wheelingo

The clearest difference is update cadence: Wheelingo at every 3 days against DMV Driving Test Driver Start's every 2 months. Wheelingo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). DMV Driving Test Driver Start's advantage is ratings volume (8.3K vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DMV Driving Test Driver Start sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Wheelingo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wheelingo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DMV Driving Test Driver Start has 8.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DMV Driving Test Driver Start ships an update every 2 months, Wheelingo every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
