# PDF Maker & Reader vs PDF Creator

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PDF Creator at 71% against PDF Maker & Reader's 20%. PDF Creator also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (107 vs 25). PDF Maker & Reader's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 4.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Maker & Reader sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and PDF Creator sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Maker & Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 25 and 107 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of PDF Maker & Reader's written reviews are positive against 71% of PDF Creator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
