# Kartina TV vs Dune Control

The clearest difference is rating: Kartina TV at 4.7 against Dune Control's 3.1. Kartina TV also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 32 months) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 9). Dune Control's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kartina TV sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Dune Control asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kartina TV holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kartina TV has 2.4K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Kartina TV's written reviews are positive against 30% of Dune Control's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kartina TV ships an update fortnightly, Dune Control every 32 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
