# HEIC Convert vs Image Converter

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Image Converter at 88% against HEIC Convert's 33%. Image Converter also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (35 vs 3). HEIC Convert's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HEIC Convert sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Image Converter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Image Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Image Converter has 35 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of HEIC Convert's written reviews are positive against 88% of Image Converter's.

HEIC Convert ships an update every 2 months, Image Converter every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
