# Grill Seeker vs Backtrack

The clearest difference is ads: Backtrack at none against Grill Seeker's shown. Grill Seeker's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grill Seeker sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year and Backtrack sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Grill Seeker ships an update every 5 days, Backtrack every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
