# TunnelWorm vs SpellCaster

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TunnelWorm at none against SpellCaster's 4. TunnelWorm also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). SpellCaster's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpellCaster sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. TunnelWorm asks for nothing beyond the download.

SpellCaster holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TunnelWorm has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TunnelWorm ships an update every 4 months, SpellCaster every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
