# Apocrypha vs Montana Code Annotated

The clearest difference is rating: Apocrypha at 4.7 against Montana Code Annotated's 3.5. Apocrypha also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 15 months). Montana Code Annotated's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 73%). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Montana Code Annotated sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Apocrypha asks for nothing beyond the download.

Apocrypha holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Apocrypha has 643 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Apocrypha's written reviews are positive against 100% of Montana Code Annotated's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
