# Speaker vs Fly Vaunt

The clearest difference is rating: Speaker at 4.0 against Fly Vaunt's 3.1. Speaker also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). Fly Vaunt's advantage is ratings volume (212 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Speaker holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fly Vaunt has 212 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Speaker's written reviews are positive against 45% of Fly Vaunt's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speaker ships an update weekly, Fly Vaunt fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
