# Streamlabs vs CMG Chat

The clearest difference is rating: Streamlabs at 3.9 against CMG Chat's 3.0. Streamlabs also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 48). CMG Chat's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Streamlabs sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. CMG Chat asks for nothing beyond the download.

Streamlabs holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Streamlabs has 1.3K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 29% and 29% positive.

Streamlabs ships an update every 2 weeks, CMG Chat every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
