# Notbox vs Mago

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mago at every 2 weeks against Notbox's every 4 months. Notbox's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Notbox ships an update every 4 months, Mago every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
