# CloudEdge vs Hoop Home

The clearest difference is rating: CloudEdge at 4.3 against Hoop Home's 2.5. CloudEdge also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (21K vs 2). Hoop Home's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CloudEdge sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Hoop Home asks for nothing beyond the download.

CloudEdge holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CloudEdge has 21K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CloudEdge ships an update every 2 weeks, Hoop Home every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
