# Gist Live Chat vs AssistLoop

The clearest difference is rating: AssistLoop at 5.0 against Gist Live Chat's 4.2. Gist Live Chat's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AssistLoop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gist Live Chat has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Gist Live Chat ships an update every 2 months, AssistLoop every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
