# RibCrib vs Tacowasso App

The clearest difference is ads: Tacowasso App at none against RibCrib's shown. Tacowasso App also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). RibCrib's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for RibCrib against 5.0 for Tacowasso App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RibCrib has 12K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RibCrib ships an update every 3 weeks, Tacowasso App every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
