# CBAT vs IFR Flight Simulator

The clearest difference is rating: CBAT at 5.0 against IFR Flight Simulator's 4.3. CBAT also leads on review sentiment (87% vs 65%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 days). IFR Flight Simulator's advantage is ratings volume (103 vs 3) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CBAT sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and IFR Flight Simulator sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CBAT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IFR Flight Simulator has 103 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of CBAT's written reviews are positive against 65% of IFR Flight Simulator's.

CBAT ships an update every 2 days, IFR Flight Simulator every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
