# Mint Mobile vs US Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: Mint Mobile at 4.7 against US Mobile's 4.1. Mint Mobile also leads on ratings volume (260K vs 1.9K) and chart position (#96 vs unranked). US Mobile's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 46%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mint Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mint Mobile has 260K ratings behind it against 1.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Mint Mobile's written reviews are positive against 68% of US Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mint Mobile ships an update every 11 days, US Mobile weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
