# R vs BDAA

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BDAA at 100% against R's 13%. BDAA also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.4) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 months). R's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BDAA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: R has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 13% of R's written reviews are positive against 100% of BDAA's.

R ships an update every 6 months, BDAA every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
