# The Sun vs Bright Memory

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bright Memory at every 3 days against The Sun's every 2 weeks. The Sun's advantage is price ($0.39 vs $4.99) and ratings volume (344 vs 43). On rating, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

The Sun costs $0.39 and Bright Memory $4.99 up front. The Sun sells 17 one-off in-app purchases and Bright Memory sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for The Sun against 4.3 for Bright Memory. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Sun has 344 ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 68% and 67% positive.

The Sun ships an update every 2 weeks, Bright Memory every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
